Bodyguard is a personal-safety mobile application made by Auraline LLC. This page describes when and why Bodyguard sends SMS (text) messages, and how consent and opt-out work.

HOW YOU OPT IN
There are two ways a phone number receives texts from Bodyguard:
1. You create a Bodyguard account. During signup in the Bodyguard app you enter your own mobile number, agree to our Terms of Use (auraline.com/terms) and Privacy Policy (auraline.com/privacy), and verify the number with a one-time passcode. After that, Bodyguard may text you account notifications such as emergency alerts from people who chose you as their emergency contact and updates about your emergency-contact connections.
2. Someone invites you to be their emergency contact. A Bodyguard account holder can enter a trusted person’s phone number to invite them into their safety network. If you are invited, you receive a single invitation text that identifies the person who invited you and the Bodyguard brand. You will receive no further messages unless you create an account yourself (see 1) or the sender manually re-sends the invitation, which is limited to a small number of attempts.
MESSAGE FREQUENCY
Message frequency varies based on your account activity (for example, emergency alerts triggered by an account holder you protect). Bodyguard does not send recurring marketing texts.
FEES
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
OPT-OUT
Reply STOP to any Bodyguard text to stop receiving messages. You will receive a single confirmation of your opt-out and nothing further. Reply START to re-subscribe. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at the details below.
